I am writing these words as I watch my son having fun at the softplay we often visit - he is having a blast, and maman can work. What a balancing act mompreneur often find themselves in! Hello to all the hardworking moms out there, gracefully managing the intricacies of entrepreneurship while prioritising their families.
Reflecting on memories from our recent trip to Paris, I'm struck by how it brought me back to a fundamental part of myself. Before becoming a mom, before moving to London two decades ago, before dedicating so much of myself to my previous career, back when my dreams filled my head.
In the journey of life, it's all too common to become consumed by the roles we play and lose sight of our true essence. Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle, there are moments of rediscovery: when we take off our masks and hats, in our passions, our moments for (just!) ourselves, in new cool clothes, with our best mates, when we're in the flow, guided by our creative energy and fascinating new projects, or when we immerse ourselves in the beauty of new places.
As a coach, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of reconnecting with
one's innermost desires and aspirations. By fostering self-awareness and cultivating a mindset of growth, we find renewed clarity and purpose in both our personal and professional lives.
So, to all the mompreneurs, to those of you who want to shift careers for something more aligned with yourself, and to anyone who feels a bit disconnected from their true self out there, remember to prioritise self-discovery and nourish the spark within you. When you align with what brings you joy and fulfilment, you'll find yourself again. 🌟
