Bearspotting during our last trip to Paris, or when a gesture of kindness becomes a great marketing idea.
The story goes like this: Phillipe, a bookshop owner in Paris, wanted to bring the community together and put a smile on people’s faces.
He started to place giant teddy bears around his shop and lend some to other shop owners.
The result? Two years later those funny teddy bears are everywhere in the French capital, especially in bars.
Not only they make people smile and bring them together, but they also work as a great marketing tool increasing those bars clientele, because, let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to sit next to a bear?
And free advertising and social activation because even if you don’t fancy a drink, surely you will take a picture of that bar with its teddy bears to share on Instagram...🧸 .
A proof that when you stay true to yourself, don’t follow the rules and bring your heart into the mix, magical ideas emerge...and business will flow!
